Frankly, we found it difficult to understand the hype with regard to this phone. However, when we put it beside an iPhone, we could clearly see what the hype was about. This is the first Android phone to have a regular 3.5 inch screen rather than the narrow 3.2 inch screens that we generally find in HTC’s trio of Android phones. True, it has the same resolution but we found that we had more ‘breathing’ room.
On the whole, what we could see is that the T-Mobile Pulse just didn’t have that oomph factor especially when you look at the top – class hardware of the HTC Hero and the sleek looks of the iPhone 3G, but it sure is alluring, especially when you consider the fact that it will be available on networks as a pay – as – you – go phone. The capacitive screen is really responsive, as is the Android user interface which has been modded to a large extent by T-Mobile to include a brand new home screen which you can move down, up, right and left for a grand total of 9 grids of widgets!
An interesting part about the phone is the fact that the back button has been merged with the home button. This has resulted in the cutting down of the usual madness that we see in Android phone key layouts. On the whole, what we can say is that the Pulse is a great example of what manufacturers other than HTC can do with the Android OS. This phone is a cheap, powerful and sexy phone which runs on a really good OS and has the best ever Gmail app that you will ever find on a phone.
The phone is set to be released in October for an undisclosed price. T-Mobile Pulse Reviews can be found here. If you like the look of this phone and you find the reviews agreeable then you should probably also take a look at the fantastic T-Mobile Pulse deals up for grabs.
LG GW620 is among the latest phones that LG has announced and is the first set from the Korean mobile communications company to be featuring the Android operating system, the popular mobile phone interface developed by Google.
LG GW620 is an impressive touch screen smartphone with a very attractive design. Out of the 4.1 inch long body, the screen takes up 3 inches, and is a TFT touch resistive screen with 256 color display and a 320 x 480 pixels resolution. The phone features an Accelerometer sensor for the auto-rotate feature.
LG GW620 features a stylish slider physical keyboard which helps in faster messaging and internet communications. The Android operating system provides access to a number of Google services and applications and features Push Email and integration with instant messaging. The convenience of the Android interface is considerably enhanced by the variety of network connectivity mode the GW620 supports, which includes the popular Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS and GSM. The set is also equipped with an assisted GPS receiver.
One of the strengths of LG GW620 is its remarkable built-in digital camera with LED flash, auto focus, face detection and image stabilization feature. The camera can record a video of 720 x 480 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second.
The internal memory of LG GW 620 is 300 MB, which is extendable up to 16 MB. Other important features include Bluetooth and microUSB support, FM Radio, multimedia playback, photo and video editor, Document Viewer and speakerphone.
LG has high hopes of the GW620, and since it is an Android smartphone, it will naturally gain attraction. Many of the people who would be planning to switch to an Android phone, will be eyeing the GW620 as a good smartphone to start with, but the pricing of the phone will largely determine how popular it gets among smartphone buyers, but there will no doubt be many great LG GW620 deals to choose from.
The Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 is a decent addition to the line of phones offered by the Korean mobile phone manufacturers, but it offers nothing extraordinary. With no exciting features, and an average BlackBerry-like design and a 2.4” TFT screen with a 320 x 240 pixels display, which some users will find disappointing since it is not a touch screen, the Pro B7320 doesn’t quite live up to be an Omnia phone, a Samsung series which is known for more exciting and attractive phones.
Nevertheless, the features that make up the strength of the phone really make it fit for professionals instead of a more entertainment-hungry user. The set lacks an audio jack, which would be the last nail in the coffin for the hopes of anyone who is looking to extract some serious entertainment out of this phone. But it has powerful and advanced internet features with Outlook email, a web browser and website synchronization features. It provides integration with major social networking sites like Facebook, and is remarkable for messaging, as you can easily engage in instant messaging from your phone to all leading instant messaging applications. The phone features a QWERTY keypad just below the screen, which makes composing messages a lot easier,
To cheer you up further, the phone offers a 3.0 mega pixel camera, Microsoft Pocket Office software (which again is useful for professionals), and multimedia playback support, but don’t expect much other than that.
With the price range somewhere around £350 in the UK, the phone is an economical alternative to more expensive smartphones, and can tempt a lot of users using regular mobile phones to make their giant leap into the world of smartphones. It can prove to be a very useful tool for business executives, as its feature can sufficiently serve their purpose without purchasing a BlackBerry that is more expensive so make the most of these Omnia Pro B7320 deals.
Samsung Genio Pro is one of the latest announced smartphones from Samsung and is expected to attract a lot of people because of its attractive design and stylish features. It is a touch screen phone with a colorful slider QWERTY keyboard, which makes it a touch thicker than most of the smartphones that are expected to release by Christmas. The curvy design of the Samsung Genio Pro is somewhat similar to the Touch handset in the Genio series and also features the “fashion jacket” option, which allows you to change the battery cover of your handset according to the design and color of your choice. The 4 inch long set, features a 2.8” TFT resistive touch screen with a 320 x 240 pixels resolution.
The interface of the Samsung Genio Pro is the trademark TouchWiz with a Cartoon theme, which works well with the touch screen. Samsung is especially targeting consumers with this handset who require advanced internet functions in their phones, and this is the reason why a lot of attention has been paid to internet connectivity and applications that help in email, messaging and social networking. Samsung Genio Pro, a phone aimed for young business executives who also like to have entertainment features in their phones, features a Dolphin web browser and with the help of Microsoft ActiveExchange sync, keeps you updated with the latest on different websites. One of the most useful features for Facebook and Twitter users is that they can constantly receive updates from their friends on their phone and can promptly respond to them. Samsung Genio Pro offers support to a number of wireless network connectivity modes such as Wi-Fi, 3G and GSM.
Samsung Genio Pro features a 3.0 mega pixel camera, which is one of the improvements as compared to the 2.0 mega pixel camera of Genio Touch. The phone also features GPS, FM Radio, a multimedia player, Organizer and Bluetooth connectivity. We are highly anticipating all the Samsung Genio Pro contracts to come our way from various retailers.
Vodafone 360 H1, which is the first of the Vodafone 360 sets, and is certainly going to be among the top priorities for the consumers in the UK this season. Using a Samsung device, the Vodafone 360 H1 is a stylish handset. One of its most brilliant features is its 3.5” OLED touch screen, which makes most of its 4.5” length, and the set weighs 134 grams, which is slightly heavier than some of the other handsets expected to release this season. The handset is exactly half an inch thick, so it may not be the slimmest set around. But if its weight and thickness, which is not too much, does not bother you, than you can find yourself considering a very attractive phone with some amazing user interface features.
As Vodafone 360 H1 unleashes the Vodafone 360 experience to the world, the primary focus is on enhancing the web connectivity experience for the users. The Limo operating system featured in the H1 fits very well with the multi touch sensitive screen, offering a spectacular resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, offering a rich visual experience that has the capacity of 16 million colors. One of the best features of the phone according to Vodafone is the extent of control it provides users to manage their online social networking, messaging and email. The phone book can integrate all the contacts from different address books maintained on different websites, so that you can instantly access the contact info of a person that you are thinking about. The phone is also helpful in synchronizing with different websites like Facebook and to regularly bring you the updated status of your friends. You can also benefit from this function in staying updated with news and weather.
Vodafone 360 H1 features an internal memory of 16 GB and offers support for Wi-Fi and 3G wireless networking modes. It also comes with a 5.0 mega pixel camera with auto focus and flash and also features GPS and maps. Vodafone are pulling out all the stops with the Vodafone 360 H1 so lets hope there are some great contract options to go with it.
The recently introduced Palm Pixi will be available on October 20. Palm Pixi is the second set that features the much talked about Palm webOS, which is one of the reasons why many people consider Palm Pixi a very good choice for a smartphone. Although Palm Pixi is expected to create a lot of waves, but the struggling manufacturers Palm will be facing tough time in the market by more popular competitors such as BlackBerry and Apple.
With BlackBerry’s Storm 2 expected to be available on October 25 on Vodafone in UK, it would be interesting to see how smartphone enthusiasts declare their verdict as they will be encountering a hard choice between the Palm Pixi and BlackBerry Storm 2. Both the smartphone models have been highly anticipated and both offer exciting designs. However BlackBerry 2 offers a major change in design than its predecessor as it replaces the traditional keypad with touch-screen buttons. But Palm Pixi would be competing hard with its stunning high resolution display and a superior online experience.
The Palm webOS remains to be the major strength of Palm Pixi, which enables its users to browse the web without encountering irritating mobile versions of websites, and the Synergy feature helps show all the relevant information in a single stream. Palm Pixi would be synchronized with Facebook as well, and allows chatting and instant messaging on various platforms from a single source. But despite the improvements Palm has been able to incorporate in this new model, it would be an immense challenge for them to attract the attention of BlackBerry fans, and it remains to be seen whether those improvements were good enough to beat what BlackBerry is offering in Storm 2. However, a lack of 3G and Wi-Fi platform for wireless connectivity can cost Palm dearly.

While many mobile phone manufacturing companies are considering incorporating Android, the popular mobile phone operating system platform developed by Google, into their new models, HTC had already launched HTC Hero with Android 1.5 in July 2009. With an updated version of Android, HTC Tattoo is being released in October.
HTC Tattoo features all the benefits of the Android platform with a user friendly and highly customizable but simple user interface known as HTC Sense. HTC Tattoo streams all the updates and messages from your online social networking accounts like Facebook and Twitter, email accounts, and video and picture updates from sites like YouTube and Flickr. Android can offer you one of the most convenient and hassle free web browsing experiences in the entire telecommunications industry, which is why it is becoming so popular.
HTC Tattoo is certainly the lighter and the better looking of the two HTC handsets featuring Android operating system, and is catching the attention of many mobile phone users because of the value it is offering in its expected price.
As a part of its user interface, it features a 2.8 inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. HTC Tattoo features a resistive touch screen, unlike the more sensitive capacitive touch screen in HTC Hero, as according to the manufacturers, the former mode was more appropriate to the handset. However, HTC Tattoo offers a smooth browsing experience and it should be the last thing its users should be worried about.
There are not a lot of mobile phones offering the Android operating system, and HTC Tattoo is one of the very few of those which are available for a price which many users will not find unreasonable. If you are a mobile phone user who feels the need of a more organized operating system to manage your online messaging and updates, then maybe you should try using a handset with Android operating platform, and HTC Tattoo is one of the most convenient of such sets so watch out for the HTC Tattoo on contract.
A lot of speculation had been going on about Motorola launching an Android phone. Well all the speculation has finally proven to be true. Motorola is indeed launching Motorola DEXT, which is going to be the first of a series of Motorola Android phones. Motorola DEXT is available in the UK from October 7 and is offered by Orange for as low as £34.26 per month.
Motorola DEXT is no ordinary phone, and with the Android operating system platform, it offers you something that most of the regular computers do not. Your main feed will combine the activity of all your online social networking accounts at Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, along with your e-mail, so that you can stay updated on your social life and your important personal and professional messages without logging to each source separately.
Motorola DEXT features a sliding QWERTY keyboard, which serves as a good reminder that you are actually carrying a device which is as good as a computer; in fact many would find it being much more useful than that, as apart from a storage capacity of 32 GB, Motorola DEXT is also equipped with a 5.0 mega pixels auto-focus camera with picture editing and a 3.5mm headphone jack, and most importantly it easily fits your pocket, being as light as 163 grams.
Another of the attractive features of Motorola DEXT is its impressive 3.1 inch HVGA screen with a 320 x 480 pixels resolution. Motorola DEXT is equipped with support for 3G, Wi-Fi, Edge and GSM networking, and adheres to all the networking requirements of a modern mobile phone user. But it is the Android platform more than anything else, which is keeping a lot of Motorola handset fans interested in Motorola DEXT.
Brace yourself for the technology that takes telecommunications to a new age literally. Be sure to make the most of this Motorola DEXT deals from Orange and keep your eye out for anything better that comes along.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is clearly the next big phone which is to be released in the 4th quarter of this year for a yet unknown price. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Reviews have been raving on about it, so let’s check out what’s under the hood.
The hype has been on ever since a round of unofficial photos had got leaked onto the internet. Just like all mobile phone lovers out there, we have been waiting so eagerly to get our hands on this phone and, finally, after a lot of waiting, here it is!
The phone has a large number of top – end features and a large proportion of these features are the industry benchmarks. The X2 is unique in that it is the only Windows Mobile OS phone so far to have a whooping 8 megapixel camera with WVGA recording. The phone is also unique in another sense. It is the only phone with a full QWERTY keyboard to have an 8 megapixel camera as well, so that’s that!
The phone is capable of being used on all 2G and 3G networks, meaning that you can take your phone with you to whatever country you go to. The phone is capable of connecting to the internet by way of EDGE, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA. The phone is a slide – and – tilt QWERTY which has a touchscreen as well. The phone is fairly slim at just 16 mm. Before you start commenting on this aspect, you should note that the phone also incorporates a very spacious QWERTY keyboard. However, the phone is extremely heavy at 155 grams and might feel uncomfortable if you are wearing a pair of tight jeans. The 8 megapixel camera has touch focus as well as auto focus. The phone’s internal memory can be expanded to 32 GB by using a memory card. Keep an eye out for any good XPERIA X2 contract deals so you don’t miss out on this great phone.
The newly unveiled Samsung B3310 is a phone which caters more to the younger generation of mobile phone customers, the most notable features being the full QWERTY keyboard and the very unusual design which youngsters are bound to love as there’s nothing better for them than being unique! The phone also has a number of social network shortcuts, making it very much compatible with most social networks. The phone also has full support for instant messaging as well as email. The phone is being released mainly in the pink colour, which definitely means that it is more specifically targeted towards females.
Other than the quirky design, the other features that the phone sports includes a 2 megapixel camera which takes photos of a decent quality, though the lack of a flash is a bit of a dampner as it would’ve enabled users to take crystal clear pictures even in low light. Bluetooth v2.0 with support for A2DP profiles is also present, enabling you to use your stereo wireless headset with the phone as well. You can also use Bluetooth to transfer songs and images with other phones. The phone also has an MP3 player which is really good and is great to use if you are a music fan. The FM radio is also a delight as you will be able to listen to your favourite stations while on the go. The memory of the phone is expandable via the microSD memory card slot to ensure that you store all your favourite songs.
At the bottom of the screen, we can see a shortcut scroll bars which enables you to access MySpace and Facebook with a single click, whereby you can do all the usual stuff such as messaging friends or updating your status. There are also shortcuts for photo sharing sites such as Photobucket and Flickr.
Samsung B3310 Reviews aren’t so bad, so make sure you get it when it is released in mid – September, either for a one off payment or for a monthly payment on a Samsung B3310 contract.
