Leave it to the mobile device leaders at Samsung. They have created a mobile phone that every teenage girl would want. The Samsung B3310 ships in a flashy pink package. Its design is somewhat ‘cutesy’ and definitely geared towards the younger female market segment. Many Samsung B3310 deals seem to point out that this phone is a winner.
The keyboard layout is rather different than the normal mobile device configuration. It includes a sliding full QWERTY keyboard with the numeric keys detached across the top off the face of the phone. There is a row of keys on the outside of the phone; numeric and full QWERTY, so that when you slide out the full keyboard, the numeric keys are above the alpha keys. That is a unique and interesting concept from Samsung. This phone is a slider with full QWERTY functionality on the outside as well.
As an entry level unit, this will sell well within its target demographic. It has many of the standard features that you come to expect. While there is no 3G support, it does contain a 2.0 MP camera that performs double duty as a video device. The keyboard itself may attract a few users based on what seems to be a nifty way of texting. No longer are number keys “shifted” with the top row of the QWERTY keyboard. They have their own row. They are used when the phone is closed, to dial a number without ever having to open the phone. Since the B3310 is on its way you can pick one up on a pay as you go plan from a variety of online sources.
Here are the standard specs: 2.1-inches screen (176×220 pixels), 2 Mega Pixel camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth V2.0, 40MB internal memory and a microSD slot for memory expansion. Software includes a music player, e-mail and one-click access to social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Flickr and Photobucket.
