Dell Officially Launches Its Set of Mini 3 Smart Phones

Dell oPhoneI am pleased to announce that Dell has now returned to its Pocket PC business, which it gave up some few years ago, and now back with a bang. They are now trying to cover lost ground. Its now official: Dell has perfected plans to release a range of smart phones which will be sold under the brand name Dell Mini 3.Taking a look at Dell’s naming principle, which takes screen size into consideration, one can conveniently affirm that these new Dell smart phones will have 3 inch screens.

One cannot really predict future Dell smart phones instead only hypothesis can be made since no hardware specification of the new phones was announced to the public. Dell further confirmed that their new devices would be made available to all stores nationwide. They are inadvertently trying to tow the line of their computer marketing strategies.

Although rumors on Dell smart phones have been spreading over the past couple of months, one can’t really predict the features of this new smart phone. The Dell Mini3i was even spotted some few months ago at an event hosted by China Mobile although it was tagged only ”a proof of concept” back then. But today it is just more than a concept.

China Mobile is the first company around the world to obtain the license for its use. The world’s largest mobile operator will run a version of Dell Mini3 that will use the OPhone OS (the well known Andriod OS with some specialized customizations) and is scheduled for release before the end of next month.
