Samsung recently made an announcement that they would be adding two more phones to their already substantial and growing stable of mobile products. These two new phones are a part of the design line, Diva. Both phones have yet to be priced and Samsung is planning on making them available for sale in the first quarter of 2010. The S7070 and S5150 are the two phones ‘starter’ phones in the Diva series.
These two phones differ a great deal from each other. The Samsung S7070 is a touchscreen mobile phone. Its counterpart, the S5510, codename Olivia, is a clamshell.
The S7070’s single touchscreen display screen is 3.0 inches. The S5150, conversely, has two display screens. The primary one is 2.2 inches. The second one is hidden beneath the mirror panel. Users will be able to read the time, date and check how much juice their battery has.
Other features of he S7070 include a TouchWiz operative system, FM radio and Bluetooth. The S5150 has a 2.2 inch screen and megapixel camera. This slim, flip phone comes in a shiny case and the front of it has a diamond shaped pattern. The S7070 has this raised, patterned texture as well.
Both of these phones are scheduled to enter the market during the early part of 2010. The prices have not yet been set for either phone. If they have, they hadn’t been shared yet with the public. Both are slated to be available for sale in the early part of 2010. As that date approaches, more information regarding the phones’ specifications and prices should be released.
Mobile phones, targeted especially the female consumer, are becoming more popular. As manufactures experience success with phones aimed at female buyers, there will be more and more of them manufactured and sold.
There seems to be a lot of buzz surrounding the S7070 and S5150. People seem to like the design and the fact that it is aimed at women. Many of the phones being sold have a masculine feel and design. Perhaps if the prices are right and the specs impressive enough, both phones may turn out to be winners.
One of Samsung’s newest offerings is the Android Galaxy Spica i5700. Its precursor was the original Galaxy i7500, which was made available to the public in August of this year (2009). The Galaxy Spica i5700 has similar capabilities as many of the other Android phones on the market. One big difference however, is the DivX support which is built into the phone. The phone also comes with an 800 MHz processor which means that it is pretty fast.
Samsung continues to roll out mobile phones and with the Galaxy Spica, is obviously looking to build up their smartphone line. It is yet to be seen if this latest addition, the Spica, will catch on. The smartphone market is quickly becoming pretty crowded. It seems that every new mobile phone, touting that it has the latest and greatest gadgets and extras, is actually offering basically the same thing. Samsung is attempting to differentiate Spica from other mobile phones in market with its DivX capabilities. Only time will tell if the Spica will be able to distinguish itself enough from the other phones on the market to make a difference or is able to somehow present itself as superior in some regard.
With that being said, the Android Galaxy Spica i5700 is fast and fairly powerful. The phone requires a 1500 m Ah battery. This is a departure from other mobile phones in the Android line. The others use batteries ranging from 1100 mAh-1400mAh.
One of the best things about the Spica is its size. It is extremely slim, 13.2 mm, which makes it easy to handle, store and transport. Those in the market for a smart phone should consider the Android Galaxy i5700. It is an attractive phone with a good number of features. Most of what mobile members have come to expect in phone, including media capabilities is there. The DivX capabilities of the phone is an added bonus that will likely appeal to individuals who enjoy watching movies on their phones. This latter feature is perhaps the one which stands out the most and is what most people are excited about. Whether or not it will be enough to get people to pull out their wallets remains to be seen.
Samsung has just announced that it is adding to its growing number of female oriented phones. The mega company has recently added two more, the S7070 and the S5150. The S7070 is a bit more featured packed, while the Samsung S5150 Diva appears to be aimed at a market prepared to spend a little less money.
The S5150 is a clamshell flip phone. It comes complete with a 2.2 inch, main display screen. There is an “invisible” secondary screen which displays the time, date and battery power. The second display screen can be found underneath the mirror panel. The phone comes with QVGA resolution and a 3 megapixel camera. This particular phone is very slim and easy to handle and comes with a luminous case. The back side of the phone is perhaps where it stands out most stylistically. It has a 3D quilted pattern along the back. If you have seen pictures of the S7070, you will find that the S5150 pattern looks very similar.
Besides the exterior, other ‘feminine’ touches include an ‘etiquette mode’ which allows users to silence their phone really quickly. It also makes available a wish list, where individuals can type in their shopping lists. Users will also be able to use specialized fonts to make their letters a little more girly and ‘diva like.’ Photographs taken with the phone can also be retouched to create more unique and artistic pictures.
The Samsung 5150 Diva comes with Bluetooth, a MicroSD slot and speaker phone. One very unique feature which speaks to the unique position of women in society is the “fake call” capability. If a lady (or young girl) finds themselves in an uncomfortable situation, they can fake a call and create a ready made excuse to get out of it.
The S5150 has yet to be priced. What is known is that it will be available during the first part of 2010. The phone is projected to hit Russia, the Ukraine, the Netherlands and other parts of Europe in January. China and Southeastern Asia should get the phone next.
Nokia have had a reputation for bringing out wacky ideas before, and most of them prove to be quite a good success. When Nokia released the Nokia Classic 6700 it went down very well. Featuring great specifications, a good look and many other benefits it was a phone which everybody wanted to have, and the phone sold out fast at many branches across the world. Nokia however wanted more. They were not content with leaving the Nokia Classic 6700 as it was. And because of this, they began design on the new Nokia Classic 6700 gold edition. No official release date has been given for this phone, but it is expected in the first quarter of 2010 with a price tag of not far off $500. This may appear to dig very deep into your pocket but when you look at the specifications you may think otherwise.
Coming complete with a 5.0megapixel camera, you can snap up shots at your favorite moment and not worry about them being bad quality. The dream of having such a good camera is the ability to photograph so many different types of shot. Whether it be moving animals, perhaps moving cars or a sports match, you will be able to capture all the detail you want to. Also with many different effects such as black and white and sepia etc, you can make a photo feel very rustic and special.
The phone also comes with Nokia maps, which is a high end navigation program. By entering your current location and your wanted destination, the applications will guide you step by step to get to your destination, telling you which roads to take, how fast to go and even when a speed camera is readily approaching. The Nokia 6700 Gold Edition will be available in 2010.
Samsung have often had a reputation for making stylish and inexpensive sliding phones. Although the phones are affordable, thy are also great quality and reliable pieces of equipment. The new phone, the M2510 costs around $90, and for this price you get an awful lot of extras. With the ability to store up to 1000 phone numbers in the phone, you will never get short of memory again. The phone comes with a 15mb internal memory, but there is a micro card SD slot which allows you to insert memory cards of up to 8GB.
The phone comes with a USB port, as well as bluetooth and 2G connectivity. This allows you to transfer your files between your computers and laptops, or other phones and PDAs. This is great if you want to swap a few files with a friend, or share a family photo with a family member. The phone comes complete with a 1.3Megapixel camera, which allows you take photos of your favorite time of day, and capture your treasured moments.
The phone comes with a built in FM radio tuner. This built inf feature is actually very complex, and comes complete with a fully functioning built in equalizer, music recognition software, a music organizer, a mobile tracker amongst other features. The phone comes with audio and video editing software, that allow you to turn you photos and films into masterpieces, and then put audio tracks alongside with them.
If you want to get your hands on the new Samsung Phones, then head down to local stores such as or check online to see what Samsung M2510 deals are available.

Once upon a time, Dell was very prominent in the mobile phone field, until smart phones started to shove out the conventional phones. Dell combated this by designing their very own Smart Phone, and have just announced its release in China and Brazil next year at some point. Assuming Dell follow the traditional naming conventions, the Dell mini is supposed to come complete with a 3 inch screen. Using a 2.0 megapixel camera, you can easily edit and transform your pictures on a screen that size.
Dell have stated that the phone will have hardware relevant to where it is in the world. For instance Brazil does not have good 3G technology, so the phone has not been built with 3G technology. This means you do not have the access to fast internet and checking emails like you would if you had 3G, but Dell have tried to compensate by using other fairly fast internet software.
Whilst Dell have released no official specifications, touch screen features have been admitted, although to what extent we are not sure yet. Dell have also confirmed the phone will have photo, video and sound technology, although to what limits no one is sure, but you can be pretty sure this includes taking videos and accompanying a sound file with it.
The Chinese verson will come with 3G capabilities, and this will give you very fast internet speed, as well as quick connectivity to thins such as checking your email addresses. Although it is very likely that the phone will be released in the USA end Europe, many people speculate that Dell are waiting to see what sales figures are like in China and Brazil before releasing Dell Mini 3 deals in Europe and the USA.
Mobile phone customers in the United Kingdom will start the coming week knowing they could now purchase the iPhone from one of the UK’s biggest stores, Tesco. It will be recalled that Tesco mobile has a 50-50 joint venture partnership with O2, and has now announced its planned iPhone deals.
According to the release, pay as you go users will pay £342 for the iPhone 3G 8GB phone and get £30 free credit as soon as they top up their phone with £15 in a month. For £20 a month, they get to buy it at £222 and at £60 monthly by two years they pay nothing to get it.
Though prices of the various packages can be found on the website, customers can still get all relevant details of prices they wish to as soon as the mobile phone becomes available with the company. The prices vary. The price for any of the Apple iPhone depends also on the package chosen by a user.
According to Cultofmac who commented on the offer from Tesco, “The headline they‘ll be using in adverts is that this iPhone is available for as little as Twenty Pounds per month. Whether you go for a contract or decide to pay-as-you-go, this gets you Sixty Pounds worth of calls and SMS messages (assuming PAYG customers top up at least Twenty Pounds per month, which qualifies them for extras – and obviously encourages them to switch to a contract). Also consider that the free credit is applied once a month and only last one month, then automatically expires.”
On the economic side of the prices released, the company seems to have taken into consideration the various classes of consumers and their financial ability. From the low income earner to the high income earner, the offer gives them the opportunity to choose what suits their needs and pockets.
