Buy One Get One Promotion from Verizon Wireless

Motorola MILESTONE 2It is no longer news that Mobile phone carrier, Verizon Wireless launched its first ever handsets which are powered by Google’s Android Operating system, The Motorola Droid (to be released as the Milestone in the UK). The device is said to be an epitome of the platform (Android 2.0), and the HTC Droid Eris, both powered by older flavor of Android 1.5 version.

Any user who wishes to purchase the Motorola Droid or an HTC Droid Eris from Verizon will also get a second device for free on a two year contract agreement. Please note that not even one Droid was amongst the devices being given out as free. This promotion tagged BOGO (Buy One Get One) kicks off today and allows buyers who purchase a Droid Eris from Verizon will also have the possibility of getting a second one for free provided the two year contract agreement for each of the phones is signed.

That Verizon wireless will include the Droid Eris was just a rumour recently spread, however  one can notice the pricey $99 handset displayed in the carrier’s website under the title ‘Buy the DROID ERIS by HTC and get a select phone FREE’ next to it the same as the HTC DROID Eris showed in the BOGO offer. I am not sure there could be a better deal than this for Christmas, Having two such unique phones for the price of one is just ephemeral.

Big Red describes the device “The new Droid Eris by HTC combines performance and functionality in one sleek package. Eris offers the HTC Sense UI on a 3.2”, touch screen zoom capability, a virtual QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.5mm headset jack in addition to the Virtual Keys (Home, Menu, Back, Search). The ultra–slim Eris can filter your Inbox, and stay connected securely with your office via HTC Sync. Take advantage of Wi-Fi connectivity and its 5MP camera w/auto focus and video capture. Social networking is a breeze with easy access to your Favorite contacts, YouTube and Facebook.”

Vodafone 360 H1 Features Captured on Video

Vodafone 360 H1With the rush of Android smartphones out in the markets, the equally stable Linux-based LiMo (Linux Mobile) OS gets eclipsed with fewer smartphones using it these days.  Enter the Samsung-designed Vodafone 360 H1 harnessing the power of its Release 2.0 version.  As the name suggests, the handset is part of the select few mobiles phones that gets the Vodafone 360 service launched last October 30 in the UK and major European cities.

Upscale Features Exclusive on the Vodafone Network

The H1 smartphone is every inch a fashionably sleek and elegant full touchscreen candy bar handset featuring a 3.5” AMOLED touchscreen display with wide VGA and 16 million colors.  Its imaging capability stands out with a 5 megapixel autofocus snapper with LED flash.

Other upscale features include WiFi 802.11 b/g. Bluetooth with A2DP, a built-in GPS receiver, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack and 16 MB of internal memory which you still expand with its microSD slot.  It’s also a 3G phone with HSPA data connectivity for broadband internet speeds that brings the Vodafone 360 promise to the fore.

With about 1,000 apps ready for downloading on its launch date, the new 360 service optimizes the Vodafone 360 H1 handset’s features that seamlessly integrate your phone contact with online messaging and social networking sites.  You can even share your multimedia files easily over the 360 network as well has have online backups to your important files.

All these features have been captured on various online video.  If you’re still not convinced about the Samsung H1’s killer features, here’s one video that puts them all together at a glance.

Availability

The Vodafone has the H1 handset ready for pre-ordering at its site and should ship in time for Christmas.  With a choice of black or silver body color, you can have it free with its 24-month starting at ₤35 per month.  That’s a great deal alright on a stylishly elegant full-featured smartphone. And if only for that, Vodafone’s new 360 service may be a winner this Holiday.
