New Windows Phone from Sony Ericsson is a Greenheart Device
Its new mobile phone day today and it looks like the old Sony Ericsson Naite just got revamped into the Aspen. Well, it is all speculation for now as SE has yet to confirm that the Naite did undergo a name change; but one thing is for sure, the WinMo 6.5.3 Aspen is good to go on Q2 this year.
The Windows Mobile phone is a great addition to the stellar lineup of mobile devices for Sony Ericsson this year. They already have two impressive Android smart phones in the form of the XPERIA X10 and the XPERIA Robyn. For Symbian, the U-series will get started off with the Vizaz this March to be followed by the Kanna.
With the XPERIA X2 currently not taking much time in the spotlight, Sony Ericsson will be shifting WinMo focus with the Aspen. This smart phone looks very business-like with its hard edged form, solid lines and heavyset look. The device has a 2.4 inch touch screen display and a full QWERTY keyboard. Expect to be able to type long messages and emails on this phone.
Aside from the WinMo OS features, the Aspen will also come with integrated web applications for social networking websites and email as well as the PlayNow feature. It has been reported that the phone is able to handle 3D games with no problems.
Being a Greenheart device, you do not need to worry about the carbon footprint of this Sony gadget because it is made of over 50% recycled plastic and no toxic chemicals. The packaging is minimal and optimized to conserve fuel and the manual is in digital format in the phone (no printed version, saving paper and ink).
