The Acer Tempo F900

The Acer Tempo F900, unveiled during the MWC 2009, has a stark resemblance to the Samsung Omnia with regard to the front part, with a full-and-full touchscreen display and touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of the phone.
The homescreen of the Acer Tempo F900 will be fully based on widgets which will enable using the phone and browsing through it a real piece of cake. The huge display of the Acer Tempo F900 is more than enough for a great surfing experience.
One thing that should be remembered is that all the Acer phones which were announced at the MWC 2009 will be running on the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, so you can pitch your dreams of experiencing version 6.5 down the drain, unless Acer becomes nice and decides to put up an upgrade for users.
The rest of the specifications sheet includes a 533MHz Samsung mobile process, along with 128MB RAM and 256 MB flash memory. The exact size of the screen is 3.8”, with a resolution of 400×800. A microSD memory card slot is present for extending the capacity of the phone, along with a 3.0 MPIX camera, which also has autofocus.
The phone will be supporting quad-band networks, along with HSDPA surfing. Wi-Fi is also included, as well as Bluetooth 2.0. GPS functionality is also on board, making sure that you won’t be left in the dark wherever you go!
Acer have not released any details regarding at what price the handset will retail and the time period during which it will get released, but Acer must make sure that they get the price right because the market they are entering into is an extremely competitive one.
