It’s not like we’ll have access to the Xperia Play tomorrow as originally promised. Thanks to software issues on O2 and shipping problems with Vodafone and Three, it doesn’t look like the latest addition of games to the Android Marketplace will do us any good, at least not for another week or two. At any rate the games are beginning to show up and we’re pretty pleased to say that there are some interesting titles.
As of tonight there will be five PS One games launched on the Android Marketplace: Syphon Filter, MediEvil, Cool Boarders 2, Destruction Derby and Jumpy Fish. Each of the five games is receiving a price tag of just £3.99. most of the games on the list will also be available in five languages.
The only downside is that you will need to have a Sony Ericsson R800i in order to access these games. Yes, R800i is the codename for the Sony Xperia Play. That means that those who do not have an Xperia Play will be stuck with using emulators in the Marketplace for their PS One game playing fetishes.
