Samsung Galaxy S II O2 UK Prices: Contract & PayG

Being one of the top selling phones currently on the market, the Galaxy S II is being offered on many different carriers. O2 UK is currently offering the Galaxy S II to customers who are interested in purchasing it on contract or on Pay & Go plans.

The Galaxy S II is among the slimmest phones ever produced and is only 8.49mm thick. Even with that thinness, Samsung has managed to up the megapixel count on the camera from 5MP on the previous version to 8MB. There is a LED flash as well as a 1.3MP front facing camera. The phone runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3 and has a gorgeous 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen.

O2 is offering the phone on several types of contracts. For those who would like to get the GSII for free, they can get it for as little as £27.00 a month. For that price you will get 300 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited text messaging. For £32.00 the minutes are doubled and unlimited texting is still on board. £37.00 brings the minutes up to 900 with unlimited texting still included. At £42.00 there are 1200 minutes and unlimited texting and for those who are interested in going even higher, there is unlimited talk and text.

If one is interested in paying a lower monthly bill, the phone can be purchased for £149.00 on contract with a £16.50 plan that includes 50 minutes and 250 texts. For a price of £104..99 for the phone, the monthly plan will cost £21.50 and a total of 100 minutes and 500 texts are included.

Those looking to go completely off contract can purchase the phone for £479.99 and hop on a Pay & Go plan.

O2 XDA Ignito. Old school tease

Things were better in the old days, right? Well, wrong, of course, on so very many levels. Firstly, of course, is that shouting at people across the street, or using these weird things called “letters” was the only way to communicate with other people. Then of course there was the food. Then the dental hygene. Then… anyway, you get the point. But another thing those olden times folk got very wrong was the idea of, well… stripping. That’s right, you heard us: stripping. As in the practice of ladies taking off their clothing for the pleasure of paying customers. Because, back then, thanks to other things those oldies got very wrong (like the concept of religion), ladies weren’t allowed to show you everything. They’d still dance around and take stuff off, sure. But when it came down to it, they’d leave the stage with not an ounce of “inappropriate flesh” showing, just a few tassels and maybe a little bit of silk.

Which is what we thought of when we came across the video below in our search to bring you a video of the O2 Ignito. Which, thinking about it, might be something we should discuss with our therapist. But the point is: who in the hell made a video that shows only the unboxing of a mobile phone, and not the thing being turned on? Who in their right minds thinks that anyone apart from the most depraved weirdo is going to want to watch a bunch of manuals and cables being taken out of a bit of cardboard and then nothing else? Who?! What?! Why?!

Anyway, there we have it, that’s what’s mostly been annoying us today. But what about the O2 XDA Ignito, we hear you say? Well, bah! It’s just the HTC Touch Diamond with a different name, so you should already know all about it…. you don’t know all about it? Bah! You’re useless. Go peer at this O2 XDA Ignito review, have a gander at these O2 XDA Ignito deals, or even perv at O2′s official page instead.

O2 XDA Guide

In December 2008 HTC announced the release of its latest O2 XDA Guide. Looking delicate and easy to use, this smartphone is sure to capture the markets in no time! It is initially being launched in Germany through O2.

It looks very simple and comfortable to use. Looking at the main features its 2G network comprises of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 & 3G facilities with HSDPA 2100MHz, WiFi 802.11 b/g coupled with 2.0 Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE. The 2.8 inches (240 x 320 pixels) 16k color screen is touch sensitive and has got handwriting recognition integrated.

Built in memory is 256MB and comes with a 1GM memory card. You also have the freedom to increase the memory capacity if you prefer, through microSD slot. There is also a mini USB port. Camera is 3.15megapixels and gives 2048×1536 pixels resolution. The XDA Guide uses a Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. Some miscellaneous features include Java MIDP 2.0, handsfree, changeable games, MMS and email. However there’s no infrared and FM radio, which is only a small compromise.

You can get the all round navigational experience with the built in GPS and the Tom Tom Navigator 7 software. While standby time and talk time is not known yet, it is said to have a Li-Ion 1110mAh battery. It is predicted that once the O2 XDA Guide becomes successful in Germany, it will soon be introduced to UK as well.

Now that you know all about the phone, you need to select a proper contract for your O2 XDA Guide phone. As mobile phones are quite expensive, especially as soon as they’re released to the market, various networks offer you beneficial contracts where you can get discounted tariffs or obtain facilities to pay in installments for you O2 XDA Guide phone. These contracts compare the best deals available therefore you’re guaranteed to get the best. Check out the best O2 deals available.
