LG GM730
The LG GM730, which was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year, was released to the UK public during August. The phone is notable for being the first phone from LG to incorporate Internet Explorer 6.0 as well as Windows Mobile 6.5 Operating system. The phone also makes use of the 3D S-Class user interface which which was initially known as the LG Arena. All these awesome features enables the GM730 to make it extremely functional and extremely easy to use.
The phone has some really slim dimensions, having a very smooth surface with some rounded edges and a massive screen. The phone is slim at 11.9 mm. The touchscreen is a colour TFT which is capable of displaying a maximum of 262,144 colours. The tri-band phone also has a microSD memory card slot to expand the memory of the phone. The Internet Explorer 6.0 has been pre – installed to make it really easy to surf the internet. The GM730’s interface is much better than that of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and is just better than the interface of the iPhone.
The GM730 makes use of a 5 megapixel camera which also has autofocus and Schneider Kreuznach optics. The phone also has a secondary call camera which can be used to make video calls. The other features include the 3 inch WQVGA touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and a 528 MHz CPU. The phone also has a location – based service called Gypsii, which is similar to the Google Latitude, whereby you can identify the location of your friends. This software also enables you to geotag the pictures and the videos that you have captured. This amazing phone also has HSDPA connectivity.
