LG GW620 – Features & Expectations

LG GW620 is among the latest phones that LG has announced and is the first set from the Korean mobile communications company to be featuring the Android operating system, the popular mobile phone interface developed by Google.

LG GW620 is an impressive touch screen smartphone with a very attractive design. Out of the 4.1 inch long body, the screen takes up 3 inches, and is a TFT touch resistive screen with 256 color display and a 320 x 480 pixels resolution. The phone features an Accelerometer sensor for the auto-rotate feature.

LG GW620 features a stylish slider physical keyboard which helps in faster messaging and internet communications. The Android operating system provides access to a number of Google services and applications and features Push Email and integration with instant messaging. The convenience of the Android interface is considerably enhanced by the variety of network connectivity mode the GW620 supports, which includes the popular Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS and GSM. The set is also equipped with an assisted GPS receiver.

One of the strengths of LG GW620 is its remarkable built-in digital camera with LED flash, auto focus, face detection and image stabilization feature. The camera can record a video of 720 x 480 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second.
The internal memory of LG GW 620 is 300 MB, which is extendable up to 16 MB. Other important features include Bluetooth and microUSB support, FM Radio, multimedia playback, photo and video editor, Document Viewer and speakerphone.

LG has high hopes of the GW620, and since it is an Android smartphone, it will naturally gain attraction. Many of the people who would be planning to switch to an Android phone, will be eyeing the GW620 as a good smartphone to start with, but the pricing of the phone will largely determine how popular it gets among smartphone buyers, but there will no doubt be many great LG GW620 deals to choose from.
