Navigation comes to the Nokia 5800 with the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition

Nokia 5800 Navigation EditionThe Nokia 5800 XpressMusic was Nokia’s debut into the touch screen market and, as we very well know, it was a raging success. This was mainly due to the fact that it was packed with a large number of features and it had some really good looks to complement the features. The price tag was equally good, so this resulted in its resounding success.

Therefore, looking at the success of this, Nokia released a number of editions for the Nokia 5800, the more famous one being the Star Trek version, which had a number of Star Trek wallpapers, ringtones and themes.

In today’s market, navigation features have gained a higher level of significance in most people’s mind and, therefore, to cater to this, Nokia unveiled the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition via Nokia Conversations. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition Reviews have been fairly positive, so let’s see what’s under the hood.

One of the most notable features of the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is the lifetime subscription that is provided for the ‘Drive and Walk’ service. The phone also comes pre – installed with the newest version of Ovi Maps. The retail package of the phone is pretty much the same as the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. However, the Navigation Edition comes with a car charger and a car mount, enabling you to use your phone as a SatNav for your car. The phone will also come with an 8 GB memory card and will be pre – loaded with maps.

Enough about the phone and more about the pricing and release date. Nokia haven’t confirmed a release date for the 5800 Navigation Edition, although they say it will be shipped in the 3rd quarter of this year. The phone will be sold for an estimated £260, so make sure you save up for this amazing navigation – centric phone.
