Another Donut for the Holidays; HTC Tattoo

HTC TattooHere is a good tip for the holidays, if you are the kind of mobile phone user that loves to go online, post on Twitter, check Facebook updates and loves to keep track of your friends’ uploaded videos and images, then here is a great mobile phone for you. In fact, this phone is so for you, you should be checking with your local carrier if they are planning to have to HTC Tattoo contracts available.

This Android 1.6 Donut powered mobile phone is an amazing 3G smart phone that is small and can be easily carried around. You will want to carry this phone around because it will keep you in touch with friends and family through integration with many major web based applications and social networking sites.

Web Friendly

When a device supports Google applications, Facebook, Twitter, Flicker and other major websites, you know that connectivity becomes the name of the game; and Tattoo goes all out in terms of stats. The 3G phone can instantly connect to EDGE, GPRS, 3G HSDPA and WiFi for network access. Meanwhile the combined HTC Sense interface and Google Android operating system provides you with both easy navigations and instant access to many important phone features. With just a tip of a button, you can access Twitter posts. You have got to appreciate HTC’s familiarity with the Android.

Release Date

There is no word on the final release date for this amazing HTC Android 1.6 phone, but expect this device to arrive pretty soon as it seems to be slated for the end of the year.  While this phone will certainly have some solid competition in terms of hardware, it offers great functionality and decent features. Pair this device with a really low retail price or, even better, a good contract and you have the perfect little mobile phone.

HTC Tattoo – The Android Platform

HTC TattooWhile many mobile phone manufacturing companies are considering incorporating Android, the popular mobile phone operating system platform developed by Google, into their new models, HTC had already launched HTC Hero with Android 1.5 in July 2009. With an updated version of Android, HTC Tattoo is being released in October.

HTC Tattoo features all the benefits of the Android platform with a user friendly and highly customizable but simple user interface known as HTC Sense. HTC Tattoo streams all the updates and messages from your online social networking accounts like Facebook and Twitter, email accounts, and video and picture updates from sites like YouTube and Flickr. Android can offer you one of the most convenient and hassle free web browsing experiences in the entire telecommunications industry, which is why it is becoming so popular.

HTC Tattoo is certainly the lighter and the better looking of the two HTC handsets featuring Android operating system, and is catching the attention of many mobile phone users because of the value it is offering in its expected price.
As a part of its user interface, it features a 2.8 inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. HTC Tattoo features a resistive touch screen, unlike the more sensitive capacitive touch screen in HTC Hero, as according to the manufacturers, the former mode was more appropriate to the handset. However, HTC Tattoo offers a smooth browsing experience and it should be the last thing its users should be worried about.

There are not a lot of mobile phones offering the Android operating system, and HTC Tattoo is one of the very few of those which are available for a price which many users will not find unreasonable. If you are a mobile phone user who feels the need of a more organized operating system to manage your online messaging and updates, then maybe you should try using a handset with Android operating platform, and HTC Tattoo is one of the most convenient of such sets so watch out for the HTC Tattoo on contract.

HTC Click to be known as HTC Tattoo

HTC TattooThe HTC Click has made an official appearance after a number of days of leaks and speculation. The HTC Click will finally be known as the HTC Tattoo. The name of the phone itself is a clear indication that the phone is targeted more towards the younger segment of the market. The amazing design of the phone, combined with an unbelievably low price tag is a clear indication that HTC plans to bring the Android OS to the mass market, including the young segment of the market.

The compact HTC Tattoo has the notable feat of being the only Android phone from one of the big manufacturers to possess a QVGA resistive touchscreen. This is in contrast to most other Android phones, which makes use of a HVGA capacitive screen. HTC has revealed that the resistive technology is a better idea for the screen considering the fact that it is only 2.8 inches long. The phone will be running using a 528 MHz Qualcomm CPU and will make use of 256 MB of RAM. These amazing specifications will mean that the phone is sure to pack a punch.

The highlights of the HTC Tattoo include the 3G connectivity with HSDPA internet, Wi-Fi, GPS and an impressive 3.2 megapixel camera along with autofocus. There is an FM radio as well in addition to an accelerometer sensor and a digital compass. The specs sheet is rounded off by the miniUSB port, the microSD card slot and the 3.5 mm headset jack (enabling you to use your favourite headset). The HTC Tattoo is also set to make use of the proprietary Sense UI, making it only the second phone from the manufacturer to do so after the HTC Hero.

The HTC Tattoo is expected to be released in the whole of Europe (UK included) around the beginning of October. It will then be rolled our around the world after it is released in Europe. HTC have not revelaed any pricing details of the HTC Tattoo. However, other HTC Tattoo Reviews have latched onto some rumours which state that it will cost around 200 Euros (180 pounds).

Moby1 is a good website for comparing deals so be sure to give them a visit when looking for the HTC Tattoo.
