Nokia 3720 Classic. From the face
If you’ll excuse our singing, then DE-NE-NER-NERR-DE-NE-NER-NERR-DE-NER-NER-NERR-NERR is one of the most annoying sets of notes ever, ever, ever put together. It is, of course, the famous Nokia tune / ringtone that is now synonymous the world over with phones ringing – and being answered – annoyingly and inappropriately. HELLO? YEAH, I’M IN THE LIBRARY. etc. and so on.
And now, thanks to the Nokia 3720 Classic, you can be certain to hear this sound in a whole lot more places thanks to the fact that this thing is about as tough, strong and long as, erm… wait, wrong analogy there, this thing is definitely not like toilet paper. This thing is about as robust, strong and downright hard as, well, as the most robust phone you can buy.
So, previously thought the ocean or a pool was a place of refuge from the world of mobile communications… you’re wrong, thanks to the Nokia 3720 being completely water-proof! Always kind of enjoyed your rough and tumble workplace because people wouldn’t dare getting there new handset crushed or full of dust… not anymore! Assumed that paintballing was not an activity you’d find disrupted by idiots speaking to their Pas… you guessed it. HELLO? YES? ANGIE, YEAH, IT’S ME. NO, IT’S OKAY, I’M BLEEDING FROM THE FACE A BIT, BUT I’M GLAD YOU CALLED…
So, with all out hearts: thanks Nokia. Thanks a whole ****ing lot.

Nokia 6730 Classic. Bah!
Bah! we say to all these “exclusive” details. Pants! we scream at the contriving conniving monopolising manufacturers and network providers. Gosh darn it! we say, gosh golly darn it!
Because the very soon to be released 6730 Classic is a very lovely phone indeed, but will only be available on Vodafone. Bah! Oh well, ignoring that, what have we got in our hands? Well, the short answer is, very little… because at just a whisker over 80 grams, this is one of the smallest smartphones the world has ever seen. Or felt. Well, we say “smartphone”, because technically, with its 3G connectivity and S60 Symbian platform, this is a smartphone, but barely.
We like to think of it as a very-high-spec’ed normal phone, rather than a bottom of the barrel smartphone, because even though it’s light on functionality as well as weight, the 6730 Classic still manages to pack in a surprising amount. A 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus works fine by our (admittedly low) standards, the music players is more than decent and you can bulk up the included 1 GB memory with microSD cards for added storage. And, in its own little way, this really is a smartphone – the range of apps included with the S60 line-is impressive, especially the turn-by-turn mapping feature that comes with Nokia’s own Ovi Maps.
And, well, just look at it! It’s an absolute beauty of an example of simplicity. Pure lines, great glossy finish and a nice bright screen, and despite the weight, a really nice solid feeling in the hand. The Nokia 6730 Classic doesn’t really put a foot wrong. Announced alongside the 2720 fold and 7020, Nokia claim that the Nokia 2730 Classic is aimed at “emerging markets”, but we don’t doubt for a second this is phone will have appeal far and wide due to all it offers for a super low price. Nokia 5630 XpressMusic
Nokia announces about the latest addition to its XpressMusic lineup, the Nokia 5630. Specifically designed for music lovers, this phone is pumped with many multimedia features that are sure to set you on fire! I bet it will grab your attention as soon as you see it because this phone is only 12mm thick and weighs only 83g!
You get a 4GB microSD card when you buy a phone, but you can increase the memory up to 16GB if you want to. Music playback can be done using the 3.5mm headset jack or stereo headsets with its A2DP Bluetooth. Find it annoying having to move your finger up and down to manipulate your playlists? With Nokia 5630 you can do this with just a simple voice command using the Say & Play function. Furthermore, the Nokia 5630 is integrated with Nokia’s Music Store, allowing the users to conveniently purchase music or download tracks as and when they wish. You can choose from a wide range of music.
Running on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, Nokia 5630 grants you easy access to 20 of your closest contacts. What’s more, it sports a 3.2megapixel camera supported by dual-LED flash. The screen is somehow of average size at 2.2inches QVGA, but looks quite alright.

Nokia 6710 Navigator
The all new Nokia 6710 Navigator was announced about at the Mobile World Conference, like many of its sister models by Nokia. As the name itself suggests, it comes quite handy when navigating as it provides you a wide range of navigational facilities.
It looks quite alright with slightly curved edges but in my opinion, looks very similar to many other handsets in the market. It’s of average size, 14.5mm thick and weighing 117g. 2.6″ QVGA (320×240 pixels) screen is accompanied by the soft keys, which are quite uniquely placed however. This screen is particularly designed for easy use outdoors as it’s meant for use of maps.
It is quad-band on GSM and tri-band on UMTS, coupled with HSDPA and WiFi. The GPS dedicated navigation features include the extensive use of Nokia Maps software, Drive & Walk navigation, specific navigation key and touch sensitivity for the purpose of zooming maps. The new Nokia Maps support aerial imagery, terrain maps, 3D landmarks, weather updates and most importantly, traffic & safety warnings.
You also get a compass and an updated pedestrian experience. Furthermore the Carl Zeiss lens is 5megapixel and is supported by dual LED flash. The internal memory is 50MB while it can be increased as there is microSD slot. You can obtain more information on this phone from Nokia’s official page.

Nokia 6720 Classic
The leading mobile phone manufacturer introduced a wide range of new mobile phone models at the Mobile World Conference 2009 and one of those is Nokia 6720 Classic. As you canfind out more here this phone can be summarized in 3 sentences; Designed to talk, Capture & share and Stay connected.
There were 2 segments for this mobile, one giving tri-band UMTS 900/1900/2100MHz and the other with tri-band UMTS 850/1900/2100MHz. Both offer quad-band GSM and high speed HSDPA.
Nokia 7620 Classic uses noise reduction technology to provide the users with the best call quality. It’s 110mm x 45mm x 14mm of size and weighs 110g. It looks quite delicate and candy bar-like. You can see the Nokia’s classic trademark look as soon as you set your eyes on it. You can get it in 2 colors; Chestnut brown and Iron gray. The autofocus 5megapixel camera, dual LED flash, inbuilt GPS, 2.0 Bluetooth and electronic compass is some other features you can see in this phone. The display is of 2.2 inches QVGA TFT. You can keep it in standby mode for 20 days. The phone memory is 45MB but you can increase it if you use the microSD slot. It also comes with a TV out. Nokia 8208
Nokia 8208 is the only non-N-series phone which has got a dual slider factor. This was introduced towards the latter part of 2008. It was introduced targeting the Chinese market.
Looking very similar to the N96, it looks quite attractive although somewhat thicker. It’s 16mm thick and weighs around 126g. This 3G phone also works on CDMA networks (EV-DO Rev A) at 800/1900MHz. It uses Series 40 as its operating system. It’s a delight for all music lovers as the media player can give 20hrs playback, continuously. When the secondary slider is used, you get access to the dedicated music playback keys. Audio output can be obtained using the 3.5mm jack and you can connect your own set of headphones this way. The screen is 2.2 inches.
The Nokia 8208 has a large inbuilt memory of 150MB, however this can be extended only up to 8GB using microSD slot (memory card). You can use it 4hrs continuously for call purposes and the standby time is 11 days. The camera is 3megapixel. If you’re an average user, looking for an average phone which should be affordable, stylish, reliable and solid, then I guess this is a really good phone for you. Nokia 5800 Orange coup
The Nokia 5800 is soon to hit the shops in the UK and we cannot wait to see it. The Nokia 5800 represents a cheaper version of a touch screen mobile phone, the more expensive option being the Nokia N97, not due for release until at least March of this year. There is one snag however, and that is that if you will need to get the Nokia 5800 on Orange as they have a network exclusive deal much as O2 to with the Iphone.
